Wide-field refractor for astronomy and nature viewing
The SkyWatcher Startravel 80T OTA combines an 80 mm aperture with a short 400 mm focal length. Its f/5 focal ratio provides a wide field of view, making it well suited to extended targets such as star fields, clusters and nebulae. The Moon and brighter planets can also be observed. For daytime nature viewing, the included Amici prism presents an upright image.
The 1.25-inch focuser accepts the supplied accessories. The package includes a 6×30 finder, a 1.25-inch Amici prism, 10 mm and 25 mm eyepieces, a 2× Barlow lens and tube rings. The optical tube weighs approximately 1.8 kg.
Please note: This is the OTA version with optical tube and accessories. A mount and tripod are not included and must be provided separately for observing. Solar observation requires a suitable solar filter securely fitted over the full front aperture; no such filter is included. Never look at the Sun without a suitable front-mounted filter.
