ZWO ASI585MC Air – smart colour astronomy camera with integrated control
The ZWO ASI585MC Air combines a sensitive colour imaging camera with automatic guiding and integrated control. Its Sony IMX585 main sensor captures detailed 4K images, while a separate monochrome sensor supports guiding. Wi-Fi, onboard storage and live stacking make it a compact system for deep-sky imaging and electronically assisted astronomy (EAA).
Imaging, guiding and control in one camera
The Air combines a main camera, guide camera and control unit in one housing. Wi-Fi enables wireless operation. Images can be saved to onboard storage, and an integrated USB hub connects additional devices at the telescope. Live stacking supports the real-time viewing of faint celestial objects.
The Sony IMX585 sensor
The back-illuminated 1/1.2-inch colour sensor offers 8.29 megapixels with 2.9 µm pixels. STARVIS 2 technology and strong near-infrared sensitivity support imaging in low light. The additional SC2210 monochrome sensor handles guiding, so a separate guide camera is not required.

Frame rate and operating mode
Achievable frame rate depends on resolution, exposure time and operating mode. Live stacking and guiding use different data rates from a conventional ASI camera operated directly from a computer.
