Dew Shields
A dew shield protects the front of a telescope from stray light and helps delay moisture forming on the optics. Choose a model that fits your telescope tube diameter and optical design.

Choosing the right dew shield
Start with the tube or outer diameter stated for your telescope. The dew shield should fit securely without touching the optics or obstructing normal operation. Flexible models can be compact to store and may suit different tube shapes, while rigid versions provide a defined fit for specific instruments.
A longer dew shield can provide additional protection from stray light entering from the side. Schmidt-Cassegrain and similar telescopes may require a cut-out or a particular attachment style. Heated dew shields combine the shield with an integrated heating function. Before ordering, check compatibility, diameter and the required connection. A dew shield delays condensation, but in high humidity or during long observing sessions it may need to be paired with a suitable heater.
