Set the night sky for date and time
The fifth revised edition of the Oculum planisphere helps identify constellations and selected deep-sky objects for a given date and time. It is designed for 50° north and 10° east; the Geononius scale makes it easy to adjust for other longitudes.
More than 700 stars and about 250 deep-sky objects are shown. Messier objects and selected NGC and IC targets are colour-coded by type. The selection matches Oculum’s Deep Sky Reiseatlas and Deep Sky Reiseführer. A white background, high-contrast colours and a season-coded month scale aid orientation, including under red light.
The reverse includes a quick guide, descriptions of selected objects and a calendar of solstices, equinoxes and major meteor showers. Its robust, water-resistant material is suitable for outdoor observing. This is the German-language edition.
