Product overview

The Omegon UWA 9 mm is an affordable wide-angle eyepiece for medium to higher magnifications. Its 66° apparent field is especially helpful with manually tracked telescopes.

Suitable applications

• Lunar and planetary observing
• Compact deep-sky objects
• Dobsonian and other manually tracked telescopes

Included equipment

• 9 mm focal length
• 66° apparent field of view
• 1.25-inch barrel
• Thread for 1.25-inch filters
• Large eye lens
• Fold-down rubber eyecup

What magnification will it give?

Magnification equals telescope focal length divided by 9 mm. A telescope with 900 mm focal length, for example, gives 100x.

Practical note

Check your existing eyepiece focal lengths before ordering. A 9 mm eyepiece often fills the useful gap between overview and very high magnification.
