Omegon veTEC 455 C Color Camera – cooled astrophotography camera
The veTEC 455 C combines the 61-megapixel Sony IMX455 full-frame sensor with active cooling and an integrated colour mosaic. It captures wide-field deep-sky subjects in colour without requiring a separate filter wheel for basic one-shot colour imaging.
Applications
The full-frame colour sensor supports one-shot-colour imaging across a broad field. Confirm that the telescope and corrector provide a sufficiently large, well-corrected image circle.
Features
- Actively cooled Sony IMX455 CMOS sensor; cooling performance: up to 35 °C below ambient temperature
- Full-frame; 36 × 24 mm with 3.76 µm pixels
- 9568 × 6380 pixels (61 MP); 16-bit ADC; 6 frames/s at full resolution
- USB 3.0 connection and integrated two-port USB 2.0 hub
- T2 connection, 2-inch telescope adapter and 17.5 mm back focus
