SkyWatcher Esprit-80EDX: fast triplet apochromat
The Esprit-80EDX is a compact 80 mm triplet apochromat with a 400 mm focal length and f/5 optics. Its objective includes an ED element made from Japanese Ohara FPL-53 glass. MHTC multi-layer coatings support high light transmission and contrast. The telescope is designed for demanding visual observing and astrophotography.
The CNC-machined dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser has an 11:1 reduction and a 2.8-inch drawtube system. Both the focuser and connection adapter can rotate to help frame the image. A single tube ring with carrying handle, dovetail bar and sturdy aluminium hard case complete the equipment.
