SkyWatcher Evostar 150EDX: 150 mm ED apochromat for visual observing and astrophotography
The Evostar 150EDX provides a 150 mm aperture, 1,200 mm focal length and an f/8 ratio. Its ED doublet includes an element made from Japanese Ohara FPL-53 glass. MHTC multi-coatings are designed to support high light transmission and a high-contrast image.
The EDX version upgrades the focuser to a CNC-machined 3-inch rack-and-pinion drawtube with 11:1 reduction. A scale and 360-degree rotation adapter help with precise alignment, including for astrophotography. The retractable dew shield and tube rings with a handle that also acts as a mounting bar make handling more practical.

The package contains the Evostar-150EDX optical tube, tube rings with handle, a 75 mm dovetail bar and an aluminium carrying case. Eyepieces, diagonal and finder are not included.
An optional 0.77x focal reducer/field flattener, model 20333, is available for astrophotography; it is sold separately.
