Correctors, Reducers & Barlow Lenses
Correctors, reducers and Barlow lenses help you adapt the optical performance of your telescope to different observing and imaging tasks. A Barlow lens increases the effective focal length and magnification, while a reducer shortens the focal length and makes a larger field of view possible. Flatteners and coma correctors improve the image geometry for astrophotography. When choosing a corrector, check the telescope type, focal ratio, connection size and the required working distance. The right combination can produce noticeably sharper stars and a more evenly illuminated image field.
