Sky-Watcher Explorer 130P AZ-Go2 Wi-Fi GoTo Telescope

The Sky-Watcher Explorer 130P AZ-Go2 is a versatile Newtonian telescope paired with a computerised Wi-Fi mount. Its 130 mm parabolic primary mirror and 650 mm focal length give an f/5 focal ratio. The aperture resolves detail on the Moon and planets while gathering light for star clusters, nebulae and galaxies.

According to the manufacturer, the primary and secondary mirrors use Radiant Aluminium Quartz (RAQ) coatings with reflectivity of up to 94%. The supplied 10 mm and 20 mm eyepieces provide approximately 65x and 32.5x magnification. The 2-inch focuser accepts both 2-inch and 1.25-inch accessories. As with Newtonian reflectors, the image is rotated; no diagonal is included.

The AZ-Go2 mount creates its own Wi-Fi network and is controlled wirelessly using the free SynScan app on a smartphone or tablet. It therefore works at locations without existing Wi-Fi or mobile service. After entering the observing location and completing a short alignment, the GoTo system can automatically point to targets from a database of more than 10,000 celestial objects. The manufacturer does not list a hand controller as included.

Included: Explorer 130P Newtonian telescope, AZ-Go2 Wi-Fi GoTo mount, red-dot finder, 10 mm and 20 mm eyepieces, smartphone holder, and stainless-steel tripod with accessory tray. Batteries and power supply are not included.

Safe solar observing requires a suitable filter securely fitted over the telescope's full front aperture. No solar filter is included.
