Sky-Watcher Explorer-150P OTA 150/750 Newtonian Telescope

The Sky-Watcher Explorer-150P OTA is a versatile Newtonian reflector with a 150 mm aperture and 750 mm focal length. Its parabolic primary mirror gathers substantially more light than a small beginner tube, making it suitable for detailed views of the Moon and planets as well as star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. With an f/5 focal ratio, it combines a wide field of view with a compact focal length for flexible visual observing and introductory astrophotography.

The parabolic primary mirror provides accurate imaging. Both mirrors feature the RAQ™ (Radiant Aluminium Quartz) coating, which the manufacturer rates at up to 94% reflectivity and describes as durable protection. Four exceptionally thin 0.5 mm secondary-mirror supports hold the diagonal mirror and reduce diffraction spikes around bright stars. The 2-inch focuser accepts compatible 2-inch accessories; the supplied eyepieces are 1.25-inch.

The package is equipped for a quick start. The included 20 mm and 10 mm eyepieces, used with the supplied 2× Barlow lens, provide magnifications of 37.5×, 75× and 150×. A 6×30 finder with crosshairs helps locate objects. The universal smartphone holder attaches compatible phones to an eyepiece. A camera adapter on the Barlow lens and the manufacturer-stated direct DSLR connection offer entry-level imaging options. Tube rings and a Vixen-style dovetail rail are provided for mounting.

Please note: This is an OTA package: the optical telescope tube and the accessories listed below. A mount and tripod are not included and must be selected separately. Solar observing requires a suitable, securely fitted front-aperture solar filter; it is not included.
