Sky-Watcher Quattro-150P f/4 Imaging Newtonian Telescope

The Sky-Watcher Quattro-150P is a fast 150 mm Newtonian telescope for astrophotography and visual observing. Its focal length is 600 mm at f/4. The supplied four-element M48 aplanatic coma corrector, which includes an ED element, reduces the system to f/3.45 and provides a corrected imaging field. The stated image circle is 21.7 mm; the manufacturer specifies APS-C compatibility.

The stable steel tube houses a diffraction-limited parabolic primary mirror. Both mirrors feature Sky-Watcher's RAQ coating with up to 94% reflectivity. A 2-inch Linear Power focuser with 10:1 dual-speed reduction supports coarse and fine focusing. Tube rings and the 45 mm dovetail rail allow mounting on a suitably rated equatorial mount. A straight-through 6x30 finder is included.

Adapters for 1.25-inch and 2-inch eyepieces are supplied for visual use, along with a piggyback DSLR camera holder. Eyepieces and mount are not included. This telescope suits experienced beginners and advanced users who want a fast Newtonian with a coma corrector on a suitably stable mount. As with other f/4 Newtonians, careful collimation and precise focusing are important.
