Sky-Watcher Skyhawk 1145P AZ-Go2 Wi-Fi GoTo Telescope

The Sky-Watcher Skyhawk 1145P AZ-Go2 combines a compact Newtonian reflector with a wirelessly controlled GoTo mount. Its 114 mm parabolic primary mirror and 500 mm focal length give an f/4.4 focal ratio. The optics are well suited to the Moon, bright planets, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies while providing a generous field of view.

According to the manufacturer, the primary and secondary mirrors feature Radiant Aluminium Quartz (RAQ) coatings with reflectivity of up to 94%. The fast focal ratio suits wide-field observing. The supplied 10 mm and 20 mm eyepieces provide approximately 50x and 25x magnification. As with Newtonian reflectors, the image is rotated; no diagonal is included.

The AZ-Go2 mount creates its own Wi-Fi network and is operated with the free SynScan app on a smartphone or tablet. It therefore works without an existing Wi-Fi or mobile network. After entering the observing location and completing a short alignment, the mount can automatically point to objects in a database of more than 10,000 celestial targets. The manufacturer does not list a hand controller as part of the package.

Included: 114 mm Newtonian telescope with parabolic primary and secondary mirrors, AZ-Go2 Wi-Fi GoTo mount, red-dot finder, 10 mm and 20 mm eyepieces, smartphone holder, and stainless-steel tripod with accessory tray. Batteries and power supply are not included.

Solar observing requires a suitable solar filter securely fitted over the telescope's full front aperture. No solar filter is included.
