305 mm FlexTube Dobsonian with SynScan GoTo and Wi-Fi

The SkyWatcher Skyliner 300P FlexTube SynScan is a large Newtonian Dobsonian designed for visual observing. Its 305 mm aperture and 1,500 mm focal length (f/4.92) gather substantial light for galaxies, nebulae and star clusters while also revealing detail on the Moon and planets. The parabolic primary mirror is made from low-expansion borosilicate glass; the primary and secondary mirrors carry the RAQ coating, specified for up to 94% reflectivity.

The optical equipment includes a precision 2-inch Crayford focuser, a straight-through 9×50 finder and two 1.25-inch super-wide-angle eyepieces with a 70° apparent field of view. A brass compression-ring adapter helps protect eyepiece barrels, and a smartphone adapter is included for basic imaging.

After alignment, the motorised Dobsonian base automatically points the telescope at selected objects. It can be controlled with the SynScan V.6 hand controller or wirelessly over Wi-Fi using the SynScan app for iOS and Android. Freedom-Find dual encoders retain alignment when the telescope is moved manually. The FlexTube shortens for transport and extends quickly at the observing site. A second locking position supports binocular viewers. The optical tube and rocker box can be separated for carrying.

The large aperture and heavy, separate assemblies require adequate transport and storage space. The base requires 12 V DC with a centre-positive connector. The power supply and batteries are not included.
