355 mm FlexTube Dobsonian with SynScan GoTo

The SkyWatcher Skyliner 350P FlexTube SynScan is a powerful Newtonian Dobsonian for visual observing. Its 355 mm aperture and 1,600 mm focal length (f/4.5) reveal many faint deep-sky objects and fine detail on the Moon and planets. The parabolic primary and secondary mirrors are made from low-expansion borosilicate glass and carry an RAQ mirror coating. Maximum useful magnification is approximately 710×; practical magnification depends on atmospheric steadiness.

Optical accessories include a 2-inch dual-speed Crayford focuser with 10:1 fine adjustment, a 9×50 right-angle finder with erect image, two 1.25-inch wide-angle eyepieces with a 70° apparent field of view, and a smartphone adapter. The brass compression-ring adapter helps reduce marks on eyepiece barrels.

After alignment, the motorised Dobsonian base automatically locates objects. It can be controlled with the SynScan AZ hand controller or wirelessly over Wi-Fi using the SynScan app. Freedom-Find dual encoders retain position information when the telescope is moved manually. The collapsible FlexTube shortens for transport and extends quickly at the observing site. A second locking position supports binocular viewers. The optical tube and rocker box can be separated.

With a shipping weight of about 95 kg across three parcels, this telescope needs substantial storage space and careful transport planning. The base requires 12 V DC with a centre-positive connector; the power supply and batteries are not included.
