SkyWatcher Skymax-200DX OTA: 200 mm aplanatic telescope for observing and astrophotography
The Skymax-200DX OTA is an aplanatic Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with a 200 mm aperture and 2,000 mm focal length. According to the manufacturer, its optical design corrects off-axis coma and provides a flat 44 mm image circle. The optical tube is therefore also designed for astrophotography with full-frame sensors.
The long focal length and large aperture are particularly suited to lunar and planetary observing and detailed imaging of smaller celestial objects. An integrated 12 V fan and ventilation openings support optical cooldown.
